Pair Delighted With Third Prize

A RETIRED couple from North Arm Cove picked up the $5000 third prize in the $2 Jackpot Lottery draw 8721 yesterday.

"This $5000 is worth what $50,000 is worth to other people," the wife said.

"Our car is 20 years old, so the money will definitely be going towards a new car."

The couple bought the prize-winning ticket, numbered 192214, from Centro Tweed News in Tweed Heads, on their way to a holiday in Queensland.

The jackpot in the $2 Jackpot Lottery was not won and is $1.1 million for draw 8722.
