HUNTER punters are on the money when it comes to claiming prizes.

Only one NSW Lotteries prize remains unclaimed in the region for the past year, a $10,000 win in the $2 lottery draw 8705.

Drawn on August 31, the winning ticket was bought from a newsagency at Stockland Glendale.

But this prize seems modest when compared with other wins waiting to be claimed in NSW.

These include a $3.348 million Oz Lotto prize, drawn on September 23, 1997. The ticket, in draw number 188, was bought from a Sydney newsagency.

A $728,548 Lotto win from August 12, 1998, also remains unclaimed. The game is numbered 98/32.

Two $100,000 wins in the $2 Jackpot Lottery also remain, with the first, numbered 6819, drawn on February 26, 1999. The second, game 6887, was drawn several weeks later, on April 20, 1999.

A $50,533 Powerball prize also remains unclaimed, drawn on April 22, 1999, and numbered 153.

A NSW Lotteries spokeswoman said there was a time limit for claiming prizes. Claims must be lodged by November 30, 2016.

Prizes normally have a 10- year grace in which they can be claimed, the spokeswoman said.

Lotto results are still available dating from 1979, 6 from 38 Pools results from 1991, Oz Lotto from 1994, $2 and $5 Jackpot Lotteries and Lotto Strike from 1995, Powerball from 1996 and Saturday Lotto from 2000.
